  We collected our two cats from Laxey yesterday after leaving them there for the first time. We were very happy with everything and would definitely recommend them, our previous experience with a cattery was not good so we decided to try somewhere different, I was recommended to Laxey and I am very pleased we listened! We were invited to view the cattery the first time we called and our first impression was excellent, not only very clean but friendly and what impressed my daughter was that the owner knew all the cats by name and knew their personalities well. We would have no hesitation in boarding our cats there again, in the past if we have left them they have sulked for days but this time they have returned home happy, looking very healthy and content. Thank you Laxey for looking after our cats so well.

  I am a cat breeder, and board my 5 cats at laxey cattery. excellent service, they use top branded food, and my cats always look in great condition on there return. the owner Mike is friendly and allows me to settle them in at my pace. The Cattery is peaceful and clearly get plenty of attention. I did make the mistake once, when i used sunny view. NEVER AGAIN. well done Laxey

• Holiday for my cat

  I have been boarding my cat at Laxey Cattery for a couple of years now. The accommodation is very clean and tidy. Molly is always looked after very well and the staff has always been very helpful and seem to be passionate about their work. The owner always looks to go the extra mile to make sure the experience is calming for Molly and for the rest of the family knowing that she is left in capable hands. Many thanks to you all.

  .. having wet feet after taking the bus and walking in the rain and in the dark having trouble finding the place. The person knew I did not have a car, he just said I could come around after 5pm.. So I was half an hour late (!) as their opening times was til 18:30, which I found out later. It was only 7pm for christ sake. I was stood outside the house, knocking on the door, ringing the mobile and the landline, .. and a kid looking at me from the window, but I was totally ignored. I was close to tears as no-one bothered to respond to me... I definately would NOT recommend this cattery, due to the fact that they do not answer the phone, (I had problems with that earlier on in the day) and it therefore as well as their ignorance seems to me it's just a secondary income to them.. So, they have some reviews saying how good their cattery is, but I know for a fact that a lot of websites make their own reviews, I would not trust these people with my cat, he's far too precious. Maybe we just had a lucky escape....

• Laxey Cattery

  I had never used a cattery before, and to be honest I was dreading taking my baby to one. However I had no choice as I was going away, and chose Laxey as I had visited them before and they were only down the road from me. When I dropped my cat off, I was made to feel very comfortable by the owner and he allowed me to settle my cat in his home at the pace I wanted. When I left I felt extremely comfortable and only texted the owner once while I was away to see how my cat was! We picked him up a week later, and I couldnt believe how well he looked. Not only that, but as his behaviour is normally naughty I found him to be relaxed and acting more like a friendly cat would. My perception on catterys has changed.....however more somewhat on this one though, and I can only urge anyone to use this cattey in future! Thanks to all at Laxey! Rupert, Chris & Jo

• Lovely

  Our ctas spent three months here when we were travelling and they were looked after really well. The people are wonderful real cat lovers and the facilities are excellent. I would not go anywhere else.

• Excellent !

  This is the only place our girls stay and it is an excellent place. Exceptionally clean and all the cats appear happy, well fed and loved, which make a great difference when you have to leave them behind whilst away. Would definitely recommend this cattery.

• Home from home

  My two cats love this cattery, it's clean, the staff are very kind & friendly. The accomodation is kept spotless & the cats get lots of cuddles etc. It's like a home from home, so I can relax whilst away knowing they're well looked after.
