Don't use South West Glass!

I recently purchased a piece of toughened safety glass from South West Glass. After the delivery was made, I noticed a faint scratch. I phoned the company the next working day and they agreed to come out to inspect the scratch the following day. No-one turned up nor phoned the following day so I phoned the day after to find out why. I wasn't offered any explanation or apology but was told they would come out that day between 2 and 4pm. I didn't hear anything until the 'director' of the company phoned me at 4:15pm to tell me very abruptly that they weren't coming to inspect the glass and that they now weren't going to rectify the problem. The director was extremely rude, talked over the top of me and hung up without letting me have my say. Their behaviour was not only appalling (I had arranged to work from home on two consecutive days at great inconvenience) but illegal too, in contravention of the 1979 Sale of Goods Act. I would strongly recommend that South West Glass are avoided at all costs. Seek out a more reputable glazier!
