Brief business description
Kuumba is based in St. Pauls, is Bristol's and the South West region's longest established black-led arts and cultural centre. Over the years, Kuumba's origional premises have been extended and developed and now in its 32nd year, the organisation is developing a vision for a new purpose built arts venue. Kuumba's role since its inception in 1974 has been to support and develop cultural, artistic and educational events, services and workshops, which reflect the history and heritage of Afrikan and Caribbean people. This work is not only for the benefit of local residents, but also to promote and raise awareness about traditional and contemporary Afrikan and Caribbean arts and culture on a local, regional, national and international level.
